Belgrade, MT – Tim Sheehy for Montana launched a new ad in the 2024 campaign for U.S. Senate. The 30-second ad, titled “Scott,” features combat veteran Scott Weaver, who served on the battlefield with Tim Sheehy. The ad will run on broadcast, cable, satellite television, and digital advertising across the state.

In the ad, Weaver recounts serving dozens of missions in Afghanistan alongside Sheehy and being wounded by the same improvised explosive device (IED), earning them both Purple Hearts that day. After the explosion, Weaver was knocked unconscious and lost part of his lower leg. Sheehy’s first instinct was to help his fellow soldier and get him to safety.

“Even though Tim was hurt, he was looking out for me. He tended to my wounds, and he got me out safe,” Weaver said in the ad. “Tim is brave, selfless, a real leader, and Jon Tester’s attacks on Tim’s character are disgusting. Tim Sheehy is a real patriot and he’s exactly who we need in Washington.”

Scott Weaver deployed to Afghanistan with Tim Sheehy as a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. In addition to his Purple Heart earned the same day as Sheehy, Weaver also earned a Bronze Star with “V” device for valor for his efforts credited with likely saving the life of his Navy SEAL team leader. Weaver completed multiple deployments, including serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, Africa, and Bahrain, over the course of two decades.
