After retiring from the military, Tim and Carmen Sheehy chose to make Montana home to raise their family and start several businesses. Tim believes in fair prices for our hard-working producers and a secure food supply for our nation, and is the only candidate in this race who has actually done something to stand up to the meatpacking giants.Tim doesn’t just talk, he leads on the critical issues. Tim and Carmen feel fortunate to be able to expose their four children to the tradition of cattle ranching in Montana.
Tim stands in strong support of IVF as a path for Montana families to grow and thrive when they struggle to conceive naturally, like his brother and sister-in-law who battled infertility for three years, and eventually were blessed with his nephew through IVF. Tim will fight against any effort to restrict IVF treatments for women and families.
Tim believes in helping bring more life into this world, including through his philanthropy benefitting Montana health care, which helped bring the upgraded neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to the Gallatin Valley to provide critical care to at-risk infants.
It’s unfortunate that what gets lost in this debate is that Jon Tester supports elective abortion on demand up until the moment of birth. Think about that again: Jon Tester supports aborting a healthy, full-term baby the day before it’s due. That is the extreme position here.
Public lands are part of our Montana way of life. As Senator, Tim will work to preserve and expand access to our public lands. Tim believes public lands must stay in public hands. Tim believes Montanans know best how to manage our land, not the Washington bureaucrats. Tim believes it’s important we listen to the voices of local communities when considering public lands policy. Tim opposes a federal transfer of our public lands. Tim opposes the sale of our public lands. Tim supports better stewardship of our public lands, including through active forest management.
Career politicians like Jon Tester talk tough on China but Tim has actually done something about the threats we face. As a Navy SEAL, Tim fought in the Pacific region and led covert operations around the world to defend our American values.
Tim built a Montana manufacturing business with zero supply chain dependence on China.
Tim is also working to strengthen Montana beef production and stop the Chinese from undercutting our ranchers. He is strengthening Montana beef production — where he raises, finishes, and processes premium Montana beef 100% in Montana — because he’s fully committed to stopping the Chinese from undercutting our ranchers. That’s the type of new conservative leadership Montanans are looking for.
